Tunnel construction company Elon Musk The Bored Company (TBC), allowing customers to pay for trips on their Las Vegas public transit system using Dogecoin (DOGE).
A report from CNBC on Wednesday said the new payment option via BitPay emerged on July 1, a day after the station opened a new Loop in Las Vegas Conference Center.
Although The Boring Company has not officially confirmed the new payment method, founder Elon Musk seems to have done so when he responded to a tweet about the news, saying, “Support Doge where possible.”

The new Loop station is located under an integrated resort called Las Vegas World Resorts and is the fourth stop of the 1.7 mile Las Vegas Convention Center Loop.
Through the underground tunnel system, commuters can take human-powered Tesla electric vehicles from stop to stop.
This is far from the initial plans for a Las Vegas “hyperloop”, which consisted of using a magnetic drive to move passenger transport capsules at high speed through a pressure tunnel system.
The company is still working on implementing driverless vehicles in its future transportation system in Vegas.
Support for Dogecoin payments on Loop is just the latest integration for Musk’s enterprise fleet.
