Ethereum leads today in the large-cap cryptocurrencies: After a strong week (+41%), the smart contract platform rose to around $1,600 in the last 24 hours (data from Coinmarketcap.com), easily breaking the $1,500 resistance. A boon for ETH investors, who have seen the coin hover around $1,000 for weeks.

Near Protocol (NEAR): +16%

Rival smart contract platform Near Protocol (NEAR) is also among the best performing coins today, with bulls taking the coin from yesterday’s low of $3.877 to $4.5137 in a matter of hours. 16% rise and new local highs for Near Protocol (data from Coinmarketcap.com).

The trading volume is also clearly in the green at +137%, although the crypto analyst CryptoFranJo does not see the situation as clearly bullish. In his estimate, NEAR could correct in this price region, but at the latest around 5 dollars. His chart suggests that it is. Of this he writes:

“I’m not sure if we’ll make it or not. Expect a move lower when we enter any of the red boxes to confirm the WXY correction.

Fantom Medal (FTM): +21%

Fantom Coin (FTM) is also among the best performing coins today as the fast smart contract platform has risen from $0.2726 to $0.3318 in the last 24 hours and with Marked gains of more than 21%.

Still, investor sentiment around Fantom Coin (FTM) is neutral, as Coincodex.com says, despite more than $841 million in trading volume across 69 crypto exchanges.

According to forecasts, entry at these prices could still be worthwhile. For example, Gov.capital sees the price of FTM at $1.73 by July 2023. This corresponds, for the current price, to yield more than 421%.
