Cash App has something new. A new feature has just been integrated into this peer-to-peer money transfer device. It will allow the application’s 40 million users to send and receive bitcoins through the Lightning Network (LN).
Money App, instant bitcoin transactions through LN
The news was announced by Michael Rihani himself, the current Bitcoin Cash Product Manager. On Tuesday, October 25, he tweeted this:

If before, users of the app only had the option of sending BTC Cash through the Lightning Network, this update will completely change the game. In fact, this mobile payment service developed by Square Inc. will, from now on, authorize the acceptance of bitcoins.
One downside: this extension will not currently benefit US Cash App customers. You still live outside of New York State to be a beneficiary.

Since its inception in 2013, Cash App has made it easy for its customers to transfer, manage and invest money. Several features have since been added to this application: sending invoices, payment for purchases, Cash Card, bank transfers, etc.
To avail these facilities, you need to download the Cash App application through the App Store or Google Play. A username, or $cashtag, is then created with which transactions can be made with ease.
Former App Money customers will not need to follow this procedure. They will be prompted to open the app, go into the “Money” tab and select Bitcoin. When a QR code or the link intended for this purpose appears, BTC can be received or sent.
With 40 million users under its belt, Cash App is sure to democratize bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies at high speed. Jack Dorsey was right to bet on the Lightning Network to make this happen.
