Digital technology is taking over and no company wants to be without it. Known worldwide for its sportswear and footwear, ASICS is once again coming to the forefront of the NFT scene. The brand specifically asked STEPN to launch a collection of running shoes based on the Solana blockchain.
ASICS launches the ASICS X SOLANA UI, its new NFT collection
The digital world has become particularly important in recent years and Japanese brands seem to have understood this. After many customers have long enjoyed its sportswear, ASICS is now announcing the launch of a new NFT collection. In collaboration with STEPN, the Japanese manufacturer launches ASICS X SOLANA UI, a range of running shoes.
The latter includes the GT-2000 11 running shoes, made to measure and in limited edition. These will also give owners the chance to win rewards. In particular, the limited edition ASICS X STEPN GT-2000 NFT. For Joe Pace, director of ASICS, Web3 and Digital Goods, launching this collection has one purpose.

In addition to respecting the company’s vision, it is also important for specific communities. Because of this, it helps on the web3 and offers products that encourage people to stay physically active. However, unlike other NFT collections, this one can be used in web3 and in the real world. In fact, its operation is quite simple, therefore the more active you are with your NFT sneakers, the more rewards you will be able to earn. This is only possible thanks to the Solana-based mobile application, STEPN. The latter allows you to earn money by walking, running or jogging.
This isn’t ASICS’ first NFT collection. In July 2021, the company launched Red Sunrise and the latter seems to be getting the same buzz. The running shoes are available for pre-order. From November 4-8, during this limited time, customers will be able to get the GT-2000 11 shoe for $200 in USDC via Solana Pay. They are currently available in two custom designs: light mode and dark mode.
